Introduction of plate and frame filter press

      A plate and frame filter press is a filter group that is operated intermittently and filtered to the side under pressure. It can be divided into free flow and undercurrent according to the form of filtrate discharged out of filter. The filtrate from filter press of free flow is visible, which respectively enters into liquid collecting tank through each filter plate, so it is easy to monitor the filtrate quality, and applicable to filter suspending liquid of its filtrate steam non-toxic; the filtrate of undercurrent filter press is accumulated in the filter and then discharged out, it is suitable to filter suspending liquid in which its filtrate steam is harmful to human body.
     The structure of filter press is composed of a complete set of filter plates and filter frames arranged alternately in sequence, and racks including pressing device, pressing plate, thrust plate and transverse beam etc. The filter plate and frame are supported on beam, with a handle cast on their side, and a filter cloth lining between plate and filter frame as filtration medium. Because of action of pressing device, the filter plate and frame are pressed between the thrust plate and movable clamping plate, thus it forms many separate filter rooms, and now the cloth between pressing filter plate and filter frame pressing surface is used as a filler. When filtering, as an acceptance chamber of suspending liquid, the filter frame is equipped with filter plate of groove on its side, which is a base of cloth discharge. 2 holes for liquid instillation are provided on corresponding position of filter plate and frame, when pressed, the holes constitute 2 complete channels, which are used for suspending liquid entering together with filter frame is channel. To the undercurrent filter press, its upper channel is connected with filter plate: For free flow filter press, its upper channel and washing filter plate are connected, so as to introduce washing liquid and dry compressed air. It is equipped with filtrate valves under filter plate, washing filter plate, pressing plate and thrust plate, to control the discharge of filtrate, and the discharged filtrate is gathered in collecting tank then introduced to other place. Input suspending liquid and washing liquid, and the connecting tubes of compressed air for drying are all installed on the thrust plate.
      The pressing device of filter press is divided into three types: manual, hydraulic and mechanical.Manual clamping device, by manpower rotating handwheel, with gear and spiral, increases clamping force to the required value, while the hydraulic and mechanical clamping device can automatically clamp or release only by pressing button.
